Microsoft’s New iPad

Was that wrong? Apple has sold millions of tablets. Microsoft is so late to the game. It’s sort of like calling tissue – Kleenex. Ok, it’s Microsoft’s new tablet. The Surface.

Is it cool? yes
Is it out yet? no, wait 3-6 months
Do we have all the details yet? no, don’t know battery life or price$

But, we do know it’s thin. Thinner than an Apple iPad. It’s screen is larger than an Apple iPad. It has a full-size USB port, unlike an Apple iPad. And it runs the upcoming Windows 8. It’ll be available in two flavors – one running an Intel processor and the full Windows 8 and another running a typical tablet processor and a tablet version of Windows 8.

The magnetic cover has a keyboard embedded in it. That’s cool. Do I want one? Yes. Will it replace my iPad? We’ll see. We’ll just see.
