Office Depot’s kiosk is gone. No remnants of accessories either. I found the last case and charging stand at the local Staples – in the back room. And they were 50% off.
A lot of vendors are showing the HP Touchpad is out-of-stock. Radio Shack’s ad in the Sunday paper shows it at only $100 off and no indication it’s discontinued. My guess is they couldn’t change this before print deadlines.
I really liked this tablet. I hope it finds another life somewhere. With HP discounting it as low as $99, they’ll be sure to clear out all their inventory. If not, there may be room for it at the landfill with the Apple Lisa.
